The acclaimed Vermont father-daughter duo Bob & Sarah Amos are on a roll, with a recent #1 song and #1 album on the national folk charts, and a live show that has been called “mesmerizing” and a “must see”. Robert Resnik, host of Vermont Public’s All The Traditions, has described Bob and Sarah’s music as: “Heavenly harmonies and glorious songwriting. Every song is toe-curlingly beautiful.”
Guitarist/banjoist/vocalist Bob Amos is an internationally recognized, award winning bluegrass/folk/americana singer-songwriter who has recorded twelve acclaimed albums and performed throughout the USA and Europe for over 30 years. Singout! magazine has called Bob “one of the most interesting and intelligent songwriters in American music”. Bob's songs have reached the top of the folk, bluegrass and americana charts over and over again.
For the past ten years Bob has been performing with his daughter Sarah Amos, a vocalist of remarkable power and sensitivity. Together, they provide a highly entertaining and varied program, with original and traditional songs ranging from beautiful ballads to powerful, bluesy bluegrass numbers. Their band, including three highly respected veterans of the New England acoustic music scene: Andy Greene on guitar, Kirk Lord on bass and Matt Flinner on mandolin has been called a "Vermont Bluegrass Super Group"
In his liner notes to the new Bob & Sarah Amos album, Ever Onward, Folk/Bluegrass legend and grammy winning producer Jim Rooney states “The kind of honesty found here is a rare commodity these days and is to be taken in and cherished.” We absolutely agree!
